Professional Experience
Green Generation Solutions - Energy Consulting Intern 2013
Over the past several years, I have been able to apply my growing interest in energy efficiency to several professional fields. Most recently, I held an internship position with a small energy consulting firm in Bethesda, MD, called Green Generation Solutions. I was able to put my knowledge of commercial building systems and electric utility rate structures to use and contribute recommendations to commercial building-owner clients. I prepared presentations for clients, designed in-house models for energy savings calculations, and partook in building site visits to perform initial energy audits and mechanical system evaluations. One project I took the lead on was to complete a market analysis of a client's 280-asset nationwide building portfolio to identify optimal locations to target.

Stanford Housing Residential & Dining Enterprises - Sustainability and Conservation Intern 2012-2013
As a Housing Sustainability and Conservation Intern, I designed a comprehensive Green Dorm Room certification program to show students how they can easily and affordably live more sustainably. I worked in collaboration with other interns, housing staff members, and student groups to create the most informed program possible. Training included skills in project management, social psychology, community-based social marketing theory, and overall sustainability on a college campus.

Enviridus Green Building Technology Group - Summer Intern 2012
I worked with the two co-founders to create a business model, strategy, and communications platform for the recently launched start-up in Kensington, MD. I researched various forms of building energy efficient technologies and created content for the new website. I attended regional clean technology networking events and conferences, participated in industry-related grassroots organization meetings, and worked hands-on at a green roof project site at the Smithsonian National Zoo.

American Chemical Society - Summer Intern 2011
I worked closely with the staff of the Office of International Activities in developing a training program for ACS International Chapter Leadership. I developed briefing booklets for international chemistry conventions for members of the Board of Directors, including the President, Past President, and Vice President. I also created promotional flyers and presentations for projects like the International Year of Chemistry 2011 and the Global Innovation Initiatives.
